….had a wee fiesta tonight… flag throwing etc.. it continues for a week and tomorrow there is archery.
It is times like that you realise what an old culture you are in, yet the banner throwing is maybe quite recent, say two centuries.
Dinner at Le Poseurs last night was as expected, the guinea fowl in citrus whatever was more like chicken breast in marmalade.
There were some Aussie doctors there putting it on for some UK doctors, terrible lala . They neither spoke nor saw me…. Quite funny really,I can pick my teeth and fart and nobody notices….
Today’s walk to San Quirco was down an enormous hill and up another. Scenery typically Tuscan..rolling hills, wheat fields and cypress trees, long gone are the northern Atlanta Glauca.
Tonight’s dinner after the fiesta was organic wholemeal pasta and fennel. It was OK, but then followed by usual dreary fried bit of pork. Should have stopped at the pasta but have more hills to climb tomorrow.
Had a meeting this pm with the travel agent…he was a little surprised at the notes I had made on their travel guides. And even more surprised that I have stopped using them in favour of the guide book I bought in UK last year.
Stymied next two days though as they go off on some strange detour. Accommodation quite cute but yearn for a Novotel….
No rain!!!!!!!Bit overcast but about 22c, ideal.
