David will put in the really dreary photo that represents todays walk.
After a nasty dinner, I had not a bad nights sleep but 4am is a bit early to wake. Suspected it was raining and it was but not lashing down and no wind so just the hobbit cape.
Unfortunately the Mozzies wanted to share the hood so gave them wet hair instead which dampened their buzzing ardour.
Walking through soggy rice paddies punctuated by irrigation channels with few markers was quite exciting. I did contemplate changing the irrigation routing, very tempting. The frogs were happy..
Flat as a pancake of course, and the rain made it quite misty so took a stab and headed for the sound of traffic…came into Vercelli via the commercial end, not pretty…took ages to find my accommodation. Think I walked around the city…not a pretty one.
Home tonight is a tiny one bedroom apartment, no bath of course and I would love one, may just sit in the shower.
Going to a restaurant around the corner, hope I can find my way back and my way out tomorrow. Heading for Robbio then have instructions to get the train to Mortarto as no accommodation
Saw a man with a pack on his back who may be the mysterious footprints from this am…may have just been a big frog…
