Garlasco is in the Province of Pavia which is in Lombardy. Not sure of the status of Lombardy.

Pavia Is also a town to which I am headed today, some 28.5 ks away plus add five for getting lost so I am going with my bag for the first 8 ks. We shall see what transpires by the end of the day. There are more rice fields to cross. This region of Pavia is touted as the land of water …I’ll say.

Da Vinci in the fifteenth century at the height of the Renaissance built a palace in Pavia in the town of Vigevano, 30 ks away ,I did not go on my day off.Pity he never built it in Garlasco.

My landlady gave me a kilo of fine cannaroli rice, lovely but another kilo.

A major blow of a minor nature, tramping along into Garlasco on Wed and stuck one of my poles by accident into a grating, came out minus its expensive carbon tipped rubber “foot”.
I looked into the murky hole realised I could not get the grate off, cursed and walked on. Luckily I have spares but not as sexy…

Now that is sad regarding a walking foot as an object if desire!!!!!

Well, out into the mist…
